Is Maid Du Jour, Ltd. insured?

Yes, Maids Du Jour, Ltd. is licensed, insured, and bonded.

Do I have to do anything before the maids arrives?

In order for the Maids to do their jobs properly, we ask that you pick up clothing, toys, and other household items. The Maids do not know where your personal items belong, and we prefer that they do not disturb your closets or drawers to put things away. Maids Du Jour, Ltd. also requests that you put away valuables and heirlooms to help reduce accidents.

What if I need to reschedule an appointment or forget about my appointment?

If you need to reschedule or skip a regular cleaning day, we appreciate at least two (2) business days’ notice. If we receive shorter notice, it may be necessary for us to assess a fee of 25% of your cleaning charge (a minimum of $25 will be needed to cover expenses).

How should I pay for the service?

Payments are due the day of your scheduled cleaning service. The preferred methods of payment are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or cashier’s check. Cashier’s checks should be left on the kitchen counter or table for the Maid to collect upon arrival. Some services, such as first time cleanings or a one-time service, require pre-payment. Do you send one maid or two maids to clean my home?

Our Maids work solo for most cleanings. We will send two or more Maids if the scope of the cleaning (size of the home or project) mandates additional help.

Do you send the same maid every time?

All of our Maids provide the same consistent service to each customer. We will always send one thoroughly trained Maid to clean your home. If you have an unusually large job, we will send additional Maids. Customers who receive weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly services will be accommodated if they have a preferred Maid. If you would like to make a change, please do not hesitate to ask.

Do you carry insurance for damage?

While every effort is made to use great care in your home, accidents do happen. Our maids are trained to notify our office – and you – immediately if something is broken or damaged. If we break or damage something, we will make every effort to have the item repaired or, if necessary, replaced. We limit our loss to the replacement value or repair cost, whichever is less.

Do you provide the cleaning supplies or do we?

Maids Du Jour, Ltd. can provide all cleaning supplies, vacuums, and equipment for an additional charge. Chemical and non-chemical supplies are available. If you prefer that your own products are used, Maids Du Jour, Ltd. is not liable for any damage to your property.

How do you get into my house if I'm not at home?

Most of our clients are not at home when Maids Du Jour, Ltd. Maids come to clean. We make personal and confidential arrangements with you regarding gaining access to your home. If your home is equipped with a security system, we prefer that your alarm system is turned off on the day of service, but we will disarm and reset the alarm for you if you wish. Failure to allow Maids Du Jour, Ltd. access to your home will result in an additional fee.

Do you check the backgrounds of your maids?

Yes. In fact, we will not even consider a new Maid unless she has a minimum of four verifiable references and a stable prior work history. Maids must be bondable, which means no felony convictions. We also do random drug testing.

Why does the first time cleaning cost more?

It usually takes us longer to clean your home the first time because we will be cleaning areas of the home that may not have been cleaned in some time.

What about my pets?

Please let us know if you have pets. Maids Du Jour, Ltd. requires that all pets are secured for the safety of our Maids and of your pets. We also request that you pick up after them prior to our arrival.

How long will the maids be at my home?

The amount of time the Maids will be in your home depends on the service you need.

Will the maids speak English?

Yes, all of our employees speak English. Some are bi-lingual.

Do you wash and fold laundry?

Yes. We can provide this service for an additional charge.

How do I know I can trust Maids Du Jour, Ltd. service?

Maids Du Jour, Ltd. is a professional, full-service cleaning company. We hire bonded and insured residential Maids who pride themselves in quality cleaning services. Before joining our team, each Maid is trained to perform detailed cleaning plans according to our customers’ specifications. If, at any time, you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, we guarantee that we will keep cleaning until you are satisfied as long as you notify us of your concerns within 24 hours.

Am I supposed to tip the Maid that cleans my home?

While tips are not expected, it is common for tips to be left. Never feel that you must tip. You should only tip as a personal preference. Tips may range from 10% to 15%.

Does Maids Du Jour, Ltd. provide Butler and Maid Services?
